Axel Brammer (born June 13, 1955 in Delmenhorst ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing school, Brammer trained as a book printer from 1971 to 1974. Before he moved into the Lower Saxony state parliament in 2008, he was employed in his apprenticeship at a company in Delmenhorst. Brammer is a member of ver.di and the AWO. He is married and has two children.

politics

In 1987 Brammer joined the SPD and was chairman of the SPD sub-district Oldenburg-Land from 2001 to 2019. He has also been a member of the board of the SPD district Weser-Ems since 2003. After he became councilor of the municipality of Hatten in 1991, he became a member of the district council in the Oldenburg district in 1996. There he was chairman of the youth welfare committee. For the first time since February 26, 2008, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament, which he entered via the SPD state list. In the 2013 state elections, he was initially not elected to the state parliament at number 27 on the list, but already moved into the state parliament as the first successor on February 20, 2013 after Daniela Behrens resigned her mandate after being appointed state secretary. In the early state elections on October 15, 2017, Axel Brammer was directly elected in constituency 64 (Oldenburg-Land) . He received the majority of the first votes with 35.75%.
