Axel Montenbruck

Axel Montenbruck (born May 17, 1942 ) is a German criminal law scholar and legal philosopher .

Life

Montenbruck received his doctorate in 1976 at the University of Kiel on the topic of election determination . In the winter semester 1979/80 he received his habilitation there with a paper on the subject of sentencing . From 1981 to 2010, Montenbruck taught criminal law and criminal procedural law , legal philosophy, and legal anthropology at the Free University of Berlin . After his retirement he continues to work in teaching.
