Aya hori

Aya Ōhori ( Japanese 大 堀 彩 , Ōhori Aya ; born October 2, 1996 in Aizu-Wakamatsu , Fukushima Prefecture ) is a Japanese badminton player .

Career

Aya Ōhori took part in the 2011 Junior World Championship. In the women's singles she was defeated by the eventual world champion Ratchanok Intanon in her first game with 19:21 and 22:24. She won gold with the Japanese team at the 2012 Asian Junior Badminton Championship . She was ninth in doubles at Osaka International 2012 and fifth at Singapore International 2012 . At the Japan Super Series 2012 she finished ninth again in doubles, where she was again just behind the eventual tournament winners. In 2014 she won the Walikota Surabaya Cup .
