Ayane Kurihara ( Japanese 栗 原 文 音 , Kurihara Ayane ; born September 27, 1989 ) is a Japanese badminton player .

Career

She attended the private high school in Kitakyūshū , which is affiliated to the Kyūshū International University , like her future teammate Reiko Shiota . She plays for the Nihon Unisys corporate team .

Ayane Kurihara finished third at the 2008 Australian Open. At the 2010 Asian Championships, she fought for 5th place, at the Russian Open of the same year she won the women's individual competition. In 2011 she was a finalist at the Yonex German Open.
