Azahari bin Husin
Azahari bin Husin (* 1957 in Malaysia ; † November 9, 2005 in Java ) was the most important bomb manufacturer for terrorists of the Jemaah Islamiyah , which is closely linked to Al-Qaeda .
He graduated from the University of Adelaide in Australia in the 1970s but never got a degree. He then went back to Malaysia for some time and later to the University of Reading in Great Britain , where he studied geophysics and then did his doctorate . In the late 1990s he was trained as a bomb maker in Afghanistan and the southern Philippines . He also created a 50-page guide to bomb making. Bin Husin is suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the 2002 Bali bombing .
On November 9, 2005, Azahari bin Husin blew himself up after his home was surrounded by police.
