Aziz Bozkurt

Aziz Bozkurt (born November 3, 1981 in Bünde ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Career

Bozkurt describes himself as a “working-class child who grew up in a simple family”. From 2002 to 2006 he completed a dual computer science course, which he completed with a degree in business informatics (FH). From 2006 to 2011 he worked as a warehouse developer for a Berlin e-commerce company. Since 2011 he has been Head of Business Intelligence at a Berlin start-up company.

In 1998 Bozkurt joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany ; From 1999 to 2000 he was a member of the district board of Jusos Ostwestfalen-Lippe. From 2006 to 2007 he was a member of the executive district board of Hamburg-Nord, after which he was deputy state chairman of Jusos Berlin until 2010. Since 2012 he has been a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Berlin, at the same time he took over the state chairmanship of the AG Migration and Diversity of the SPD in Berlin. Since 2015 he has been the federal chairman of the AG Migration and Diversity in the SPD.
