The Azuer ( Spanish Río Azuer ) is a left (southern) tributary of the Guadiana , which flows through the province of Ciudad Real ( autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha ) in Spain . It has a length of about 110 km and a catchment area of about 1734 km².
About eight kilometers southeast of the small town of La Solana , the Azuer is dammed by the Puerto de Vallehermoso dam to form a reservoir (Spanish: Embalse del Puerto de Vallehermoso ).
The Azuer flows into the Guadiana about five kilometers north of the small town of Daimiel .
