The province of Ciudad Real is located in central Spain and borders on the province of Toledo in the north, the province of Cuenca in the northeast, the province of Albacete in the east, the provinces of Cordoba and Jaén in the south and the province of Badajoz in the west .

The province's climate is continental with cold winters and very warm summers.

In the province lies the town of Almadén , in the vicinity of which the world's largest cinnabar deposits were originally found, which were mined in the Almadén mine.

Infrastructure and transport links
