Amphoe Sai Yok ( Thai : อำเภอ ไทรโยค ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Kanchanaburi Province . Kanchanaburi Province is located in the far west of the central region of Thailand .
geography
The district is located in the valley of the river Kwae Noi ("little Kwae"). The so-called “Death Railway” runs along the river to the Nam Tok station (“waterfall”).
Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): the Thong Pha Phum , Si Sawat and Mueang Kanchanaburi districts of Kanchanaburi Province and the Tanintharyi Division on the other side of the border with Myanmar .

- Sai Yok National Park - opened on October 27, 1980 with an area of 500 km²; the most famous point is the Sai Yok waterfall.

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Sai Yok (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ไทรโยค ) consisting of the complete tambon Sai Yok.
- Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล น้ำตก ไทรโยค น้อย ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Tha Sao.
- Wang Pho (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วัง โพธิ์ ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Lum Sum.
In addition, there are six " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
- Lum Sum (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ลุ่ม สุ่ม ) consisting of parts of Tambon Lum Sum.
- Tha Sao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ท่า เสา ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Tha Sao.
- Sing (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สิงห์ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Sing.
- Wang Krachae (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล วัง กระแจะ ) consisting of the complete tambon Wang Krachae.
- Si Mongkhon (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ศรี มงคล ) consisting of the complete tambon Si Mongkhon.
- Bongti (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้อง ตี้ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Bongti.
