Amphoe Bo Phloi ( Thai : อำเภอ บ่อพลอย ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Kanchanaburi Province . Kanchanaburi Province is located in the western part of the central region of Thailand .

geography

The neighboring counties are (clockwise from north): Amphoe Nong Prue , Lao Khwan , Huai Krachao , Phanom Thuan , Tha Muang , Mueang Kanchanaburi and Amphoe Si Sawat . All districts belong to Kanchanaburi Province.

history

Bo Phloi was initially created as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) from parts of the Amphoe Mueang Kanchanaburi . On July 1, 1963, he was granted full amphoe status.

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

Bo Phloi (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อพลอย ) consisting of the parts of the tambon Bo Phloi, Chong Dan.
Nong Ri (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง รี ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Nong Ri.

In addition, there are six " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
