The province of Teruel comprises the southern part of the Aragon Autonomous Region in Spain . It has an area of 14,809.57 km² and 134,137 inhabitants (2019). With 9.06 inhabitants per square kilometer, it has the second lowest population density of all Spanish provinces after Soria .
The provincial capital is the city of the same name, Teruel .
