Segovia is a province in central Spain , in the south of the autonomous region of Castile and León . Neighboring provinces are Burgos , Soria , Guadalajara , Madrid , Ávila and Valladolid .
The province has 153,129 inhabitants (2019), 34% of whom live in the capital Segovia . There are a total of 209 municipalities in Segovia , more than half of which consist of villages with fewer than 200 inhabitants.
