In addition to the capital Alicante, the most important cities in the province include Elche , Torrevieja , Orihuela , Villena , Villajoyosa , Benidorm , Altea , Alcoy , Jávea and Dénia , the northernmost city in the province. The coast of Alicante is known as the Costa Blanca (German: White Coast).
