Albacete [ alβaˈθete ] is a Spanish province in the Autonomous Region of Castilla-La Mancha . Albacete is located in the southeast of the central plateau. The capital is the eponymous Albacete .
In Albacete 388,167 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) live on 14,925.84 square kilometers. It is the 35th largest province in Spain in terms of population. Albacete borders on Cuenca to the north, Valencia and Alicante to the east, Murcia and Granada to the south and Jaén and Ciudad Real to the west .
