The province of Lleida ([ ˈʎɛjðə ], locally [ ˈʎejðɛ ]; no longer official Spanish name Lérida [ ˈleɾiða ]) is the northwestern and largest of the four provinces of the Spanish autonomous region of Catalonia . Its capital is the city of Lleida .

The province borders - starting in the north, in a clockwise direction - with France , Andorra , the Catalan provinces of Girona , Barcelona and Tarragona and the Aragonese provinces of Saragossa and Huesca .
