El Pont de Suert is a Catalan municipality in the province of Lleida in northeastern Spain . It is the capital of the Comarca Alta Ribagorça .
Geographical location
El Pont de Suert is located on the Noguera Ribagorçana , a tributary of the Segre . After the incorporation of the towns of Llesp, Malpás and Viu de Llevata, the district reaches an area of almost 150 km².
Worth seeing
El Pont de Suert has a historic city center around Plaça Major . The old church is of Romanesque origin, but underwent major changes in the 18th century. The new church is the work of architect Rodríguez Mijares and was built in 1955. It has a nave .
