Location of the municipality

Mollerussa is a Catalan city ​​in the province of Lleida in northeastern Spain . It is the capital of the Comarca Pla d'Urgell .

Geographical location

The city is located about 20 kilometers east of Lleida on the national road II from Madrid to Barcelona and is about 110 km from the latter city.

Culture

The patron saint of the city of Sant Isidori is celebrated in the week of May 15th.

The Autovía A-2 (Autovía del Nordeste) runs north of Mollerussa and the Carretera Nacional N-II runs through the city center. Furthermore, a stop is at the railway Manresa - Tàrrega -Lleida in Mollerussa. About 4 kilometers southeast of the city center is an airfield for microlight aircraft .
