The magazine Bäcker und Konditor ( magazine for bakers and confectioners ) appeared monthly in the GDR since 1963. The price was 1.50 marks . The publisher was VEB Fachbuchverlag Leipzig . The printing took place in the printing house Märkische Volksstimme in Potsdam .

The magazine was a trade magazine for bakery , confectionery , long-life baked goods production and ice cream production . Because of these issues, it only reached its special audience and was published with a circulation of 20,000 copies. After the fall of the Wall , however, it was unable to establish itself on the market and was last published in 1991.
