Béla Tardos [ ˈbeːlɒ ˈtɒrdoʃ ] (born June 21, 1910 in Budapest ; † November 18, 1966 there ) was a Hungarian composer.

Tardos was a student of Béla Bartók . From 1955 he headed the state music publishing house in Budapest.

In addition to an opera ( Laura , 1958), he composed a symphony , an orchestral suite, an overture, a violin and a piano concerto, a fantasy for piano and orchestra, chamber music works, cantatas , songs , plays and film scores.
