Bödakusten östra is a nature reserve on the Swedish Baltic Sea island of Öland .

The reserve in the northeast of the island is part of the Böda Ecopark . It comprises the northern part of the Böda Bay and borders the Trollskogen nature reserve in the north .

One of the largest dune areas in Sweden is located in the south of the area. A large part of the sandy beach on Böda Bay, the longest sandy beach in Öland, is also part of the reserve. The sand and gravel areas created by the removal of drift sand are characteristic of the landscape of the area. Very old pines stand on the sandy, lean pine heath . The forest has a high proportion of dead wood, which results in a species-rich insect fauna. Bird species such as white-tailed eagles , ospreys and velvet ducks also breed . However, due to the difficult soil conditions, the flora is very poor in species. The ground vegetation consists mainly of mosses and lichens.

The museum railway Böda Skogsjärnväg runs through the area of the nature reserve between Trollskogen and Fagerrör .
