Uganda Stock Exchange
The Uganda Securities Exchange ( English Uganda Securities Exchange , USE ), the Stock Exchange of Uganda based in Kampala . The exchange currently trades 17 securities, several of which are traded on other exchanges. This makes it one of the smallest stock exchanges in Africa. Floor trading takes place every working day, since last month the trading hours have been fixed at 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The stock exchange index USE All Share Index began on October 23, 2003. Since January 15, 2004, Treasury notes of the Ugandan government have also been traded.
In June 1997 the stock exchange received the approval of the responsible regulatory authority “Capital Markets Authority”. Trading began in January 1998. The first listed security was that of the East African Development Bank .
In Germany, securities of the Ugandan stock exchange can currently only be acquired through the Essen-based company CraneRest.
