Błotniak ( Polish : consecration ) is a one-man underwater vehicle without a pressurized cabin. It was developed in Poland in 1978 by the Torpedo Research Center in Gdynia . Colloquially it was also called Formosa.

Two propellers rotating in opposite directions, driven by an electric motor, served as drive. Batteries on the side of the fuselage, which also supplied a headlight, served as energy storage. Active and passive sonar were used as sensors . The diving depth was controlled automatically.
