BASII is a German Alternative / Indie - group . It was founded in 2014 by the musicians Bastian Kaja, Konstantin Koller and Mark Fricke as a trio in Böblingen . In the spring of 2016, Clovis Jason completed the band as the fourth member.

history

BASII was founded in spring 2014 by singer and guitarist Bastian Kaja as a singer / songwriter project. The musical vision of BASII should in future also contain many electronic stylistic devices, which is why Konstantin Koller, who plays keyboard and synthesizer, joined the project a short time later. Both musicians had known each other since their school days. Konstantin Koller also mixed many concerts of the band Rimshot, of which Bastian Kaja also belonged until the breakup, and also produced some of the band's albums. Within a short period of time BASII became more than just a project and so in the summer of 2014 Mark Fricke joined Kaja and Koller's long-time school friend as a drummer.

The debut EP BASII was released in spring 2015 and was produced over two continents, South America and Europe. At the same time, the first music video for the title Carousel was released . The EP was received mostly positively. Headphonesfm writes: “ Tunnelblick from the debut EP offers a nice band sound between guitars, drums and synthesizers. All of this and the aesthetics in the video are so 2015 that it is already suitable as a contemporary document. ”Soundkartell.de:“ We can recommend “Carousel” to you as a particularly great tip. In 2015 and 2016 BASII played a lot of live concerts in Germany and published their second music video for the title Tunnelblick . The trio also became a quartet in spring 2016. Clovis Jason completed the band as the second singer and lead guitarist, and also a long-time school friend and bandmate of the three previous members.

In the summer of 2016, the first recordings for the second EP 二 began , which will be distributed on October 12, 2017 via Spotify , iTunes and other services. BASII published self-produced music videos on YouTube for the titles Nachtrausch and Traumtanz .
