The Beijing B6 minibus (type BJ6490) is one of the many Chinese replicas of the Japanese Toyota Hiace . The Beijing BJ6490C , which was produced until 2005, is regarded as the predecessor .

There are two engines to choose from. The weaker versions are equipped with the 58 kW motor of the in-house type BJ493Q. The displacement is 2771 cm³. The top engine is the 77 kW XG491Q-MW with a displacement of 2237 cm³. Depending on the model, there is space for up to 9, 11 or 15 people. Consumption should be between 9.6 and 13.9 liters per 100 km.

In addition to the MPV, the B6 with the BJ5030 series for tradespeople is also available as a light truck. The maximum payload for the two-seater is just 600 kg due to the weak engines.
