The railcar BBÖ VT 20.01 was a four-axle railcar of the Federal Railways Austria (BBÖ). It was delivered in 1925 by Maschinenbau Kiel as T 64 to the BBÖ under the factory number 64.

The vehicle corresponds to type IV of the DWK. This type was planned as a narrow-gauge car and was shorter than the normal-gauge types. Originally it was offered with a pointed front, but from 1924 with a flat front. As a nickname, the terms shrew and commissary bread were used.

Calls

The T 64 was redrawn several times: 1927 as VT 20.01, on November 25, 1938 by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 770, on April 27, 1945 as ÖStB 770 and on August 5, 1947 as ÖBB 770. The conversion took place on February 25, 1951 converted to the sidecar B4T 7729.01 . The sidecar was retired on November 28, 1960.

Then it was converted into the “mobile self-dialing telephone system” 956.500, around 1982 it was erected as a memorial to the telecommunications operations department in Vienna South.

The railcar was stationed in Schwarzenau , Bruck an der Leitha , Krems an der Donau and Mürzzuschlag .
