BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music

The BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music were music prizes donated by the British radio station BBC Radio 3 , which were awarded annually to artists from the field of world music from 2002 to 2008 inclusive . The event was canceled by the BBC in 2009 for no reason.

The Awards for World Music are also often referred to as the BBC World Music Awards , but should not be confused with the World Music Awards of the same name , which are given to the musicians with the highest Record sales are awarded worldwide.
