The BCD Group (formerly BCD Holdings NV) is a privately owned Dutch company and consists of BCD Travel (global business travel management), Travix (online travel: CheapTickets, Vliegwinkel, BudgetAir, Flugladen and Vayama), Park'N Fly (airport parking ) and Airtrade (Consolidator and Fulfillment). BCD Group was founded in 1975 by John Fentener van Vlissingen , employs more than 14,500 people and operates in 109 countries. Total revenue, including $ 10.4 billion in franchises , is $ 27.9 billion in 2017.

BCD Travel is the third largest provider of global business travel management worldwide. BCD Travel is a subsidiary of the BCD Group (formerly BCD Holdings NV) and has around 13,800 employees in 109 countries - with a turnover of 27.1 billion US dollars (2018).

BCD Meetings & Events Germany GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BCD Group and offers services for meetings, events, incentives and engagement solutions. The company is an independently managed operating company of the BCD Group and a sister organization of BCD Travel. The offer includes logistics, guest management, and venue sourcing, meetings management, as well as creation, implementation and communication for meetings, events and incentives. In 2018 the agency Grass Roots Meetings & Events was taken over . BCD Meetings & Events is headquartered in Chicago and the German headquarters are in Düsseldorf. BCDME employs more than 1,450 people worldwide and is active in more than 50 countries.

Advito , the consulting division of BCD Travel, offers consulting services in the areas of travel management , procurement and outsourcing . Advito is headquartered in Chicago and London .
history
The Hamburg-American Packetfahrt-Actien-Gesellschaft (later Hapag) was founded in 1847 and North German Lloyd (NDL) was founded in 1857 . In 1905, Hapag and NDL opened their first travel agencies in Berlin . 1970 took place the fusion of both companies to Hapag-Lloyd AG . In 1998, Hapag-Lloyd was taken over by Preussag AG and the Hapag Touristik Union was renamed TUI Group .
In 1999, the TUI Group took over the shares in First Travel Agency Management and in 2001 merged First Travel Agency Management and Hapag-Lloyd Business Travel to form TUI Business Travel Germany . TUI Business Travel and the US Maritz Travel Group founded the global brand TQ3 Travel Solutions in 2001 . In 2004 TQ3 Travel Solutions Management Holding and Navigant International announced their cooperation.
At the beginning of 2006, TUI AG sold its subsidiary TQ3 Travel Solutions Management Holding GmbH to BCD Holdings NV (operating as BCD Group since 2014), which merged the three companies World Travel BTI , The Travel Company and TQ3 Travel Solutions under the name BCD Travel.
