The BDŽ series 200.60 were small, two-axle steam locomotives of the Bulgarian state railway BDŽ for a gauge of 600 mm. Of these locomotives, which had been procured before the First World War , three were taken over by the BDŽ in 1936. One machine has been preserved.

history

Numerous examples of these locomotives, which were among the first on Bulgarian narrow-gauge railways, existed on industrial railways even before the First World War . Five of these steam locomotives were taken over by the Bulgarian State Railways (BDŽ) after the war and assigned the numbering of the Army Field Railway . In this case, these were the company's serial numbers.

Two locomotives were taken out of service after a short time. The other three were used as light shunting locomotives . In 1936 they were given the designation 201.60 to 203.60 , the number after the point means the track width in centimeters.

The 201.60 locomotive was in service until 1937. The 203.60 locomotive was in service until 1950 and was last stationed in Dupnitsa . The other locomotive, which was built by Borsig in 1906 under the serial number 5912 , is still there. In 2009 she was photographed in the Septemwri depot of the Rhodope Railway. It is also mentioned as a monument locomotive in Stara Zagora .
