BDMP 1500

The shooting sport discipline BDMP 1500 (also known as "PPC 1500") takes its name from the 1500 maximum achievable rings, which until today (as of August 6, 2007) has not yet been achieved by any German shooter. It is with handguns shot m at distances of 7 to 50. The entire match consists of a total of 150 shots.

The current best German result is 1,498 rings and was shot by Roman Hauber at the World Championships 2015 in Stockholm on August 16, 2015.

Approved weapons are any large caliber revolver or pistol with a maximum barrel length of 6 ". The open sights may be up to 8.5" in length. The caliber must be ≥ .32, magnum ammunition is not permitted.

In the sequence listed below, the main competition is revolver or pistol.

It starts in different classifications. To achieve a higher classification, the number of rings must be reached twice. It should be noted that there are different ring numbers for the classifications in Europe and the USA:

    • 7 meters - 20 seconds - revolver only double action - 12 free standing shots
    • 15 meters - 20 seconds - revolver only double action - 12 free standing shots
  • Match 2 : 25 meters - 90 seconds - revolver only double action, of that
    • 6 shots free kneeling
    • 6 shots standing, left hand, post left
    • 6 shots standing, right hand, post right
  • Match 3 : 50 meters - 165 seconds - also single action allowed, of which
    • 6 shots sitting
    • 6 shots lying down
    • 6 shots standing, left hand, post left
    • 6 shots standing, right hand, post right
  • Match 4 : 25 meters - 35 seconds each - revolver only double action
    • 12 shots standing free
    • Repetition: 12 shots standing free
  • Match 5 : (National Police Course - 60 shots)
    • Station 1: 7 meters - 20 seconds - revolver only double action - 12 free standing shots
