Broadcast Film Critics Association

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (abbreviated: BFCA ) is the largest association of film critics in the United States and Canada and represents over 300 critics from television, radio and, in special cases, the Internet. The association was founded in 1995 by Joey Berlin and Rod Lurie and has since presented the Critics 'Choice Movie Awards annually to honor the best films from the critics' point of view.

In 2011, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (abbreviated: BTJA ) was founded as an offshoot , and has since presented the Critics' Choice Television Awards for the best television series every year .
