The Berlin football club Fortuna 1894 , known for short as BFC Fortuna 1894 , was a German football club from Berlin . The club is one of the 86 founding clubs of the German Football Association .
history
The BFC Fortuna 1894 was founded on November 1st, 1894. The founding members consisted in particular of the members of the previously dissolved clubs Semnonia Berlin and Berlin FC Hercynia , the Tempelhof field served as the playing field .
In 1897 the BFC Fortuna was one of the founding members of the Association of Berlin Ball Game Clubs , three years later the club was represented by Carl Perls at the “I. General German Football Day ”on January 28, 1900 in Leipzig, the founding assembly of the German Football Association .
Between 1900 and 1904, the BFC Fortuna 1894 team played in the Berlin Oberliga before being relegated from the championship. In 1910 she appeared in the Berlin State Cup when the final was reached. Against the Weißenseer FC the finals went through a 1: 4 defeat.
Shortly after the beginning of the First World War in 1914, the BFC Fortuna joined the Berliner SV 92 in 1894 .
