The Federal Trade Academy Braunau , today the Federal Trade Academy and Federal Trade School Braunau , was founded in 1930 and is therefore one of the oldest educational institutions in all of Upper Austria .
The school is currently (January 2015) attended by around 500 students and consists of 13 classes from the commercial academy , three classes from the commercial school and four classes from the evening school for working people. The school's director is Ernst Waltl. The teaching staff consists of around 40 teachers and five qualified football coaches (minimum requirement UEFA B license). The commercial academy offers three different training focuses: MJM (Marketing Journalism Media), SAP and SEM (Sports and Event Management). The business school offers commercial vocational training for all branches of the economy in three school years.

MJM - Marketing Journalism Media
Marketing is taught as an economic focus , in which practical media training also plays an important role. The students gain insights into the media industry and deal with current media topics. They also learn the development of marketing concepts and strategies.

SEM - sports and event management
Classic, commercial training with matriculation and diploma examinations, university entrance qualifications and vocational training. It is possible to complete training as a sports manager. As part of the Matura project, the students work together with a sports club, sporting goods manufacturer or other partner in sport.
