The Journal for Biography Research, Oral History and Life Course Analyzes ( BIOS ) is a specialist journal focusing on biography research , which has been published twice a year since 1988. The journal publishes articles on current biography research and presents domestic and foreign research results as well as research debates.

The magazine is published by Barbara Budrich Verlag . The editorial board includes Johannes Huinink , Almut Leh , Albrecht Lehmann , Lutz Niethammer and Alexander von Plato as well as Gerhard Botz , Ulrich Herrmann , Utz Jeggle and Martin Kohli .
