Martin Kohli

Martin Kohli (born May 8, 1942 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss sociologist and has been teaching at the European University Institute in Florence since October 2004 .

Life

From 1977 to 2004 Martin Kohli held a chair (most recently after C4) for sociology at the Free University of Berlin . In 1985 he founded the research group Aging and Life Course at the Free University of Berlin and has been leading it ever since.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and in collaboration with the Psychogerontology Research Group at Radboud University Nijmegen , this research group carried out the first wave of the German Age Survey from 1994 to 1997 . Martin Kohli supports the publication of the trade journal BIOS .
