The BKK 2000 was a company health insurance fund based in Bocholt . The company health insurance fund was open nationwide (with the exception of Brandenburg , Bremen , Schleswig-Holstein , Saarland ) to all insured persons and their family members. The company health insurance fund recently had 14 branches, mainly in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The BKK 2000 was created on January 1, 1996 from the merger of 21 company health insurance funds:

On April 1, 1996 the BKK Geha (Hövelhof), the BKK Sudhaus (Iserlohn) and the BKK Erbslöh (Velbert) followed, on July 1, 1996 the BKK Witte, Stephan (Velbert). On October 1, 1996, the BKK Putsch (Hagen) was added. On January 1, 1997, BKK Stocko (Wuppertal) joined BKK 2000. One year later, on January 1, 1998, the BKK TECA / Parker-Eo (Bielefeld) followed. Thus, the BKK 2000 last consisted of 28 company health insurance funds and was the company health insurance company with the most mergers in Germany.

On July 1, 2003, the BKK 2000 merged with the local BKK (today Viactiv BKK ).
