from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The BKK Düsseldorf was a company health insurance fund based in Düsseldorf . The health insurance was open to all people with residence or place of employment in North Rhine .

history

The BKK Düsseldorf was created on January 1, 1994 from the merger of the BKK Stadt Düsseldorf with the BKK Rheinbahn , which was originally founded as the company health insurance fund of the Rheinische Bahngesellschaft AG .

BKK Düsseldorf was a victim of the BKK corruption scandal . After the chief executive of the health insurance company paid false invoices for years in return for bribes, the health insurance company was so economically ruined that the state insurance office of North Rhine-Westphalia ordered the closure of the health insurance company at the end of 2001 by a resolution of November 6, 2001.
