The BREN Tower (BREN = B are R eactor E xperiment - N evada) was a prefabricated, guyed steel lattice tower 465 meters high, which was erected in 1962 on the atomic bomb test site in Yucca Flat , Nevada ( United States ) to reduce the radiation exposure of the To simulate atomic bomb explosions of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the help of an unshielded nuclear reactor that can be moved on this tower . Inside the mast itself there was a passenger lift; various Japanese-style houses were erected near the mast.

Since underground nuclear tests endangered further use, the BREN Tower was dismantled in 1966 and at 36 ° 46 ′ 50 ″  N , 116 ° 14 ′ 36 ″  W, coordinates: 36 ° 46 ′ 50 ″  N , 116 ° 14 ′ 36 ″  W on location Jackass Flats , also on the atomic bomb test site rebuilt.
