BSC Salzburg is a basketball club from the city of Salzburg . It was founded in 2008 by Martin Schneider and Andrea Hopfgartner and, along with the BBU Salzburg, is one of the two successor clubs of the traditional Salzburg clubs UBBC Salzburg and SC Wüstenrot Salzburg . The greatest successes are participation in the top Austrian league (AWBL) in the 2010 season / 11 and the win of the Western League (at this point the second highest division) the following year. Since the 2012/13 season, the women's team has been participating in the German basketball association's games in cooperation with TuS Mitterfelden .
