The BSC Vitudurum (advertised Badminton-Sport-Club Vitudurum ) is a Swiss badminton club from Winterthur . The club played from 1981 to 1994 at the interclub championships in the top division.

history

The BSC Vitudurum was founded in 1976 as a result of a spin-off from BC Winterthur. The name “S”, which stands for sport, is intended to underline the claim to competitive sport. Vitudurum, after the Roman vicus of the same name in Oberwinterthur , was chosen to distinguish it more clearly from the parent club.

At the beginning there were 2 Interclub teams, whereby the 3rd league team managed the uninterrupted run through to the National League A within 5 years , where they played from 1981. Vitudurum was then able to stay in the NLA for 13 years, but never managed to become Swiss champion, they just missed this goal with six runner-up championships and three 3rd places several times. Since relegation, the Fanion team has now played in the NLB, the second highest league.
