The company BT Germany (completely: BT (Germany) GmbH & Co. oHG) is a subsidiary of the BT Group plc based in Munich . BT Germany was founded in 1995 and today employs around 750 people in Germany and Austria.

In Germany, BT offers services for corporate customers and has developed into one of the leading providers of global network and IT services. A special focus is on internationally active companies with many distributed locations that place complex requirements on the network infrastructure and communication solutions. Customers also include public institutions, other carriers, resellers and Internet service providers.

BT's global business customer division mainly focuses on modern network solutions (WAN, SD-WAN, LAN) for networking company locations, solutions for communication and collaboration ( Unified Communications & Collaboration, audio and video conferences), and secure connections of cloud computing solutions and IT security. The range of services also includes call center solutions, solutions for mobile working, business continuity and IT consulting.

BT has a well-developed high-speed network in Germany with its own city networks in four major cities. In addition, BT offers international coverage in more than 190 countries. Thanks to a globally harmonized portfolio, BT is able to offer companies the same products, services, processes and service level agreements at almost all locations .

In addition to the headquarters in Munich, the company has four other branches in Germany. The branch in Eschborn is available to customers 365 days a year.

Due to a balance sheet scandal of the Italian subsidiary BT Italia , the BT Group had to lower its profit forecast. In order to continue to work profitably, around 130 jobs are to be cut in Germany and around two thirds of the jobs lost in Hungary are to be created.

subsidiary company

BT has been represented in Austria since 2005 by BT Austria GmbH, based in Vienna , which is a 100 percent subsidiary of BT Germany. The subsidiary BT Stemmer GmbH (in Olching near Munich), a provider of IT services (such as IP telephony , installation of WLAN systems, etc.), was sold to the Bechtle Group in 2018.
