Baal-Qarnaim

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Baal-Qarnaim was a Punic god who was named after two mountain peaks on the Gulf of Tunis (Carthage at that time) and means "Lord of the two horns" . The Greeks identified him with Cronus and the Romans with Saturnus . In Roman times it was called Saturn Balcarnensis . It can be assumed that he was a local manifestation of Baal-Hammon .
