Bab Borj Ennar

Bab Borj Ennar (باب برج النار, DMG Bāb Burǧ an-Nār ) is one of the entrance gates of the Sfax Medina and is located on the eastern side of the southern city wall. It gives access to the fortifications in the south-eastern corner of the medina.

Due to the topographical location, access to the gate is via stairs starting from the parking lot at the foot of the city wall, adjacent to Avenue Al-Belhouane .

The entrance gate is one of several entrances that were created at the beginning of the 20th century to relieve the medina on the one hand and to facilitate the connection to the colonial district of Bab El Bhar on the other .
