The Babatisee (English: Lake Babati ) is an elongated lake in Tanzania .
location
The body of water is located in northern central Tanzania, in the Manyara region about 200 km north of Dodoma.
Ecology and nature conservation
The lake is known for its hippopotamus population . However, this has decreased from 400 to 150 in recent years.
