Bacaksız

Bacaksız , German precocious, precocious or: Dreikäsehoch , is a series of children's books that Rıfat Ilgaz began in the late 1970s. It is considered a classic of Turkish children's literature and has contributed significantly to the reputation of this genre in Turkey.

The five volumes published in Turkey tell the story of a boy living near Istanbul , Bahri. He's such a young boy that everyone just calls him three cheeses . The stories appeared in a three-volume edition also in German. The German-Turkish graphic artist and illustrator Tülay Sözbir-Seidel (* 1972) has illustrated all the volumes in the Bacaksız series published in Germany .
