Bacha (Tongjiang)

The "community Bacha der Hezhen " ( Chinese  八 岔 赫哲族 乡 , Pinyin Bāchà Hèzhézú Xiāng ) is a nationality community in the independent city of Tongjiang , which belongs to the administrative area of the independent city ​​of Jiamusi in the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang . The municipality has an area of ​​508.2 km² and 3851 inhabitants (2010 census). It is located directly on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Heilong Jiang , which forms the border with Russia here and borders the Fuyuan district in the east . In Bacha, fishing in Heilong Jiang, especially sturgeon and salmon , is the basis of economic life. The community belongs to the traditional settlement areas of the Hezhen, a southern Tungus people of Northeast Asia who traditionally lived from hunting and fishing.

Administrative structure

Bacha is made up of four villages. These are:

  • Bacha der Hezhen village (八 岔 赫哲族 村), center, seat of the municipal government;
  • Xinqiang Village (新 强 村);
  • Xinsheng Village (新 胜 村);
  • Xinyan Village (新 颜 村).
