Jiejinkou

The "community Jiejinkou of the Hezhen " ( Chinese  街 津 口 赫哲族 乡 , Pinyin Jiējīnkǒu Hèzhézú Xiāng ) is a nationality community of the independent city of Tongjiang , which belongs to the administrative area of the independent city ​​of Jiamusi in the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang . The municipality has an area of ​​288.8 km² and around 3400 inhabitants (end of 2009). It is located directly on the south bank of the central reaches of the Heilong Jiang , which forms the border with Russia here and is enclosed in the other three directions by forested mountains. In Jiejingkou is mainly soybeans grown. In addition, fishing in Heilong Jiang plays an important role in economic life. The community belongs to the traditional settlement areas of the Hezhen, a southern Tungus people of Northeast Asia who traditionally lived from hunting and fishing.

Administrative structure

Jiejinkou is made up of six villages. These are:

  • Jiejinkou der Hezhen village (街 津 口 赫哲族 村), center, seat of the municipal government;
  • Weiguo Village (卫国 村);
  • Weihua Village (卫华 村);
  • Weiken village (卫 垦 村);
  • Weiming village (卫 明 村);
  • Weixing village (卫星 村).
