Bad Astronaut was an American indie rock band.
history
Founded in 2000 as a side project by Lagwagon singer and songwriter Joey Cape , the band had seven members. On February 6, 2001, the debut album "Acrophobe" was released via Honest Don's, a sub-label of Fat Wreck Chords . This was followed on October 15, 2002 by the CD "Houston: We Have A Drinking Problem".
On November 14, 2006, the third and final studio work entitled "Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment" was released. The reason for the breakup of the band is the suicide of the drummer Derrick Plourde in March 2005.
