Bad Boy Boogiez consist of Hans Ludwiczak alias HG Blass (vocals), Lucas Gregorowicz (rhythm guitar), Arnoldo Benzini, actually Arne Benzing (bass), Jan "Jani" Weichsel (guitar) and Piotr Gregorowicz (drums). The band members otherwise work as actors, jazz violinists, cameramen, stage technicians and property managers. They only make public appearances as Bad Boy Boogiez “on special occasions”.
In 2009 the group had an extensive role in the Akin film Soul Kitchen . Bad Boy Boogiez is the waiter Lutz's band in the work, using the shabby restaurant that gives the film its name as a rehearsal room. In doing so, she contributes to the upswing of the restaurant, because a new type of guest suddenly celebrates violently to the music. Since the rights to AC / DC songs for the film could not be acquired, more and more own material was written for the first time. The film also features a "delicate La Paloma version" by the Bad Boy Boogiez guitarist.
The Bad Boy Boogiez are signed to the indie label Monkey Art Records. Their first independent album was released in December 2009 under the band name. Bild recommended the debut and wrote: "Here the band continues to rock in the sense of their role models - but (...) also develops a really fine groove". The group is featured on the soundtrack album for the film Soul Kitchen with the track Moon Shayn .
