Bad Weather Cape is a peninsula and headland on Axel Heiberg Island in the Canadian territory of Nunavut . The peninsula separates the Sverdrup Canal from the Li Fiord .

Bad Weather Cape is approximately 19.6 kilometers long and up to 18.3 kilometers wide. It was first reached on one of the last days of April in 1900 by Otto Sverdrup and Ivar Fosheim (1863-1944) during the Second Fram Expedition , who had to spend five days in their tent south of the cape due to a storm.
