The Badas Islands ( Indonesian Kepulauan Badas , formerly Saint Esprit Islands ) are an Indonesian group of islands in the South China Sea .

The Badas Islands belong to the administrative district ( Indonesian Kabupaten ) Bintan (Province Riau Islands ).

They are located west of the island of Kalimantan (Borneo). and east of Bintan Island . Together with the Anambas , Natuna and Tambelan Islands, the Tudjuh Archipelago . The Subi, Sejang and Seresan Islands also belong to this archipelago .

Kepahiang is the largest of the Badas Islands . There is also a settlement on it. A chain of islands with the islands of Segung (Segun), Penau , Batu , Tebon , Kuning , Tanjaru and Mengegah runs from Kepahiang to the southeast . Southwest of Kepahiang is the island of Pinangseribu with the surrounding islands of Kangen , Pinangseratus and Tokong Buton . A further south is the island of Anakawur and 19 kilometers further east-southeast is Pejamu . Pejamu is densely forested.

The highest point of the archipelago is on Kepahiang at 252  m .
